The Kitsilano Pool is an iconic Vancouver waterfront attraction that has recently fallen into disrepair. With the cost of maintenance exceeding millions each year, the economic viability of salvaging the pool becomes complex as an uncertain future of rising sea-levels and temperatures await. As Vancouver is expected to experience a climate mirroring San Diego by 2050, the introduction of a greenhouse in place of the pool offers a temporary installation that mediates between the past, present and future. Overtime, the temperate rainforest will begin to mirror the incubated, tropical environment.
