Our relationship with nature is often dependent on our upbringing. For some, nature is an inextricably-linked experience to their daily lives. For others, it’s a place to pass through at a safe distance. Irrespective of how one might resonate to nature, it is certainly agreed upon that nature offers something extraordinary within our daily lives, and our identity is marked by it.

Attention to the interesting, and how people differentiate interest has been a central theme in my photographic journey. Capturing strangers in the midst of their discovery of a new place, land or experience has been the root of my own understanding of place over the last 4 years.
